For supported Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen vehicles, we diagnose module faults and perform supported removal, installation, replacement, programming, coding, adaptation and data-copy work.
The work is done with the vehicle at our Wilmington shop, so the fault, the installed systems and the replacement part can be checked together.
What this service includes
This service covers supported Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen vehicles; Porsche may be accepted after compatibility review. Exact support depends on the vehicle, module, part and required procedure.
Supported work may involve:
- Engine control modules, commonly called an ECU, ECM or PCM
- Transmission control modules and, where fitted, the electronic-control side of a mechatronic unit
- Body-control modules, including supported BMW FEM and FRM work
- Steering-lock and immobilizer modules
- Gateway modules
- Other supported control modules after compatibility review
How module work begins
A module request may make sense when testing has pointed to a control module, a compatible replacement is already installed or available, or another repair shop needs help completing a supported replacement. A fault code alone does not prove that a module has failed.
Start by sharing the year, make, model, concern and any module information you already have. You must then bring the vehicle to our shop so the fault, installed systems and replacement part can be reviewed together.
Diagnosis determines what failed and whether the module or replacement part is appropriate. Programming, coding or adaptation may be a later step. We confirm the fault, review compatibility and provide an estimate before approved work begins.

We can source a compatible used or remanufactured module, or a new module when available, as part of work performed at our shop.
What we do not offer
We may open a module to read or test it, but we do not physically repair or rebuild circuit boards. We do not offer ABS modules, instrument clusters or gauges, EV or Tesla module work, bench or mail-in service, preprogrammed-module shipping, or mobile service.
We do not sell modules separately. We source a compatible module only as part of work performed at our shop.
Pricing, warranty and repair-shop requests
There is no fixed public module or programming price. The diagnostic charge and repair price depend on the vehicle, concern, module, part condition and work required. We explain the diagnostic charge before testing, confirm whether any credit applies for that request before work begins, and provide a repair estimate after diagnosis and compatibility review.
Warranty coverage varies by the module and work performed. A shop-supplied used module receives a three-month warranty with no mileage term. Ask which terms apply before approved work begins.
